    Aluminum is the way to go. No worrying it'll crack (like plastic) when using the wrench to tighten it down. This pivot arm is machined very clean, fits the 2/3 slot mounts on all other GoPro accessories just fine. I needed this for my back pack clip to pivot my camera 90 degrees. I commonly only use one end of this tool with my other mounts to get that 90 degree switch on tricky shots or if other accessories are limited. The blue color is cool too, makes it stand out in the case of other accessories for quick identification and a grab. I have Smatree and other aluminum mounts, but didn't find this specific pivot design elsewhere, and very satisfied with Soonsun.

    Excellent product, nicely crafted! If you've used cheapo, non-gopro parts, you've experienced wiggling and forcing pieces to line up. This one slides right into OEM gopro pieces. SOONSUN also has EXCELLENT customer service. My only ask in a package would be extra nuts.

    I will never order a cheap plastic genuine gopro accessory again. These aluminum ones are sooo much better. I use them on my motorcycle and finally have stable, shake free video!

    I love the aluminum over the plastic. I'm using this for a camera mount on the strut of my airplane. The only thing I did was swap out the thumbscrew for a button head M5x20 screw that I can easily crank down tight. Once it's cranked tight the pivot doesn't budge, even in 160 mph winds :)
