    When I read that you needed a professional installation I panicked but I tried to do it and it was extremely easy! Just put the hook side under your case and pull up all the way around the case. Thne when it's off just pop the new case on! It works and looks great!

    In my previous review I mentioned that the lettering on the replacement faceplate was dark gray instead of black as it is on the original. I have been informed that the faceplate that I ordered is intended for the Hero Silver model, and my camera is the Black model. The only difference between the faceplates is the color of the lettering.

    Installation was quick and easy with the included pry tool for removing the old faceplate. It snaps into place and there is a bit of adhesive inside the camera body for extra holding power. Excellent product.

    Fit perfectly. Couldn't tell the difference from the original. Tape kept the button nice and straight during installation.
